In the Kikuyu language, Gititu means ‘a big forest’.  The cooperative has several wet mills in the region, including the wet mill of this lot, Ikinu.  Ikinu is a small village in Kiambu County, Kenya.  Coffee producer members of Gititu from this village have farms that average less than 1 acre. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe cooperative is managed by an elected board of directors and the day to day operations are run by a factory manager.
